Privacy Policy

Takiito helps people discover taquerías. You can browse, search, and rate taquerías as a guest — no account required. Taquería owners can create an account to list and manage their business. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
Guests (no account): an anonymous device identifier stored on your device to prevent duplicate ratings; the star ratings, written reviews, and photos you choose to submit; and your approximate location — only when you tap “Near me” — to show nearby taquerías. Your saved and visited places are stored locally on your device and are not sent to us.
Owners (with an account): your name, email address, and a securely hashed password; and the taquería information and photos you add.
How we use your information
To run the app: show taquerías and reviews, compute distances and “near me” results, let you post ratings, and let owners manage listings. We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
Service providers
- Supabase — database and photo storage.
- Vercel — application hosting.
- OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — map tiles and address geocoding.
Location
Location is requested only when you use “Near me,” and used at that moment to sort and center results. Takiito does not track your location in the background.
Data retention & deletion
Owners can permanently delete their account at any time (Owner → Account → Delete account), which removes the account, its listings, and their photos. To remove a guest review or ask a privacy question, contact us below.
Children
Takiito is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
